Hi Tammie

I have been meaning to email for ages to let you know how Rucksack is getting on.  Firstly, despite being the runt of the litter by a long way, he is now a whopping 45 pounds with great big feet and a fair bit of growing still to do.  He is a great dog – he was virtually toilet trained when we got him, has proved very easy to train, loves the kids (James, now almost 3, has climbed on him, pulled his ears, sat on him, drank his water, eaten his food and not once has he growled or shown anything but extreme patience) and has a fantastic personality.  Even when he ate my ski helmet and Lillie’s ski boot, the hilarious look on his face made it hard to be cross with him!

I’ve attached a few photos for you.  Next time we’re out your way we’ll be sure to give you a call and drop by so you can see how wonderful he is!

Thank you!

Thank you

Hi,

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how well Jemma is doing.  She in now over 24lbs and is the best dog.  She is unbelievably calm and affectionate.  She has totally won the whole family over.  Having been on the fence about getting a dog, Adrian completely dotes on her.

Thank you so much.  She is a great fit for our family and we wouldn't be without her.

Tammie:

Thanks very much for checking in.  We're calling our pup Leila, and she's doing great.  And I must say she's almost too good to be true.  My daughter wants to know how much you worked with her on housebreaking, as she hasn't once (and I'm knocking on wood as I write this) had an "accident" in the house.  She's appropriately playful and calm, and traveled like a trooper.  I have attached a couple of pictures of her, one with her "cousin" Phil, a purebred Bloodhound that's 6 months old.  He was ecstatic to have another puppy around.  At 70 pounds he was a bit intimidating for her at first, but by the end of our stay she was gamboling about with him.  We're convinced Leila knew her name within a day and is already doing very well with "sit" and walking on a leash.  She came home to Laramie to our neighbors labradoodle puppy (a jet black boy named Jackson), so she's got a readily-available playmate -- very fun to see them romp.

Thanks again and I'll keep in touch and let you know how Leila develops -- and ask questions as they come up.

Regards,

Peter

Hi Tami,
I ran into someone who had a 5 month old brown & white labradoodle from you.  Her name was Pickel.  Beautiful!

I just thought you'd enjoy photos of Tucker.  He was the runt of your litter in March of 2007.  He's a very sweet & handsome boy and is lovin' life here in Carbondale.

Tammie,
Our family just wanted to let you know how "Kit Kat" (we named her Wrigley after the Chicago stadium) is doing. First of all, she's an amazing dog. She was practically house broken when she came to us. She is in puppy obedience class and I beam like a proud mother at how mellow and smart she is, even when all the other dogs are spazing out. I understand now what the word "trainable" means. She learns so quickly. She is getting very big but is so cute I don't really mind. She also has a sense of dignity and calm but is playful with the kids. Nothing really scares her and she adjusts very easily to new conditions.  We love her!   I attached a couple pics.

gilley

Tammie, you have given us the MOST PERFECT dog.  We are all gushing with happiness and love for him.  It feels like he's been with us for ever.

He knows each one of us and already has his own special way of greeting or playing with each of us.  He not only goes pee and poop outside ALWAYS; he actually asks me to take him out.  He won't stop wiggling his head and body and getting me to follow him or give him what he wants, especially when it's a visit outside.

He is now SO playful, bouncing up and down the stairs to find someone to play with him.  He moans a little when we put him in his big crib before we go out, but settles very quickly.  We have heard him bark a couple times — a beautiful, strong, boy bark!  Ryder has led him on a walk the past two days, once on the gondola.  He is a natural heeler and already knows 'STOP' which Ryder says when he gets too close to a road.  The most amazing thing is how he is so attentive, always looking at us as if to ask 'what should I do next?'  It is EASY to tell him and he LOVES getting is right.  This is incredibly good for Ryder since he is a bit younger than the others and loves the positive response Gilley gives him.  He is SO attentive to Ryder, always making eye contact as they walk.  I have to videotape it!

We are all like new parents, telling him how much we love him and agreeing with everyone who says he's the cutest, sweetest, most laid back, but smartest, most attentive dog they've ever seen!!!

THANK YOU!!!!! It is the BEST coming home to the US present ever.

Chaco La Te Coswood

October 30, 2006 – June 11, 2009

Who would want to own a fooh-fooh Poodle?....

were the thoughts that crossed our minds when we received "Mr. Chaco" as a gift (for my birthday from my sister, Linda). We had talked of labradoodles, and now I had the Poodle! It's been a lesson- not to make snap judgments…

Chaco was our shadow - wherever we were – sharing his exuberance – enthusiasm – joy for life – and the unconditional love beyond compare.
Our Chaco-dog Extraordinaire

He learned his lessons sooo fast - poodles are intelligent and sensitive. Whenever we went to Mom's house, he would immediately go over to greet her- & never left her side, as I assisted with the evening activities. He gave her his attention and love at every opportunity… she will miss his smiles and kisses. In the mornings as John lay sleeping, Chaco sat beside the bed waiting for a movement as his clue to stick his head up close, & to- oh so gently- nuzzle him… to begin another day. Those morning greetings will be sorely missed.

He was so fast and graceful – when it was time for morning exercise – irrigating – or a special treat – he would leap and do a 360° to express his happiness. His speed was unbelievable, as he ran across the fields… He loved water, snow, and his toys… as well as a chase if he spotted an animal that he perceived in his space. He had such perfect posture as he sat so straight and tall – looking out the window… a reminder for us to stand tall, too. He was a gentleman as he lifted his paw so lightly for a hand shake or a treat.

He left this world so abruptly, and way too soon… It's made it oh so difficult … so much sadness and emptiness without him. He's given us so many lessons that we will not forget...

Greet each day with joy & happiness.

Be kind and gentle with your manners.

Live & Love each moment of each day (so you have no regrets).

Be especially mindful of threats to those in your care.

A dog is a man's best friend – always true and loyal.

Hi Tammie!

My husband Peter and I bought one of the labradoodles born on September 2, 2007 (to Bentley and Reba, I believe). I've been meaning to send some photos for many months now. Maisie is a fantastic dog--very smart, sweet, and fun. We always (like every day) get comments about how beautiful and good-natured she is. I am attaching some photos of her.

Best, Cynthia
